Dear Members:

Thank you for your generous contributions and support of the Fui Toong On Society over the past 40 years!   On behalf of your Executive Board, we would like to extend an open invitation to all our members, their families and friends to participate in our planned events as listed below.

 Social & Cultural Activities 2019

  • Annual Summer Picnic – Sunday August 18
    As usual, the picnic will be held at Milliken Park (McCowan & Steeles, Scarborough). Admission to the park is free.  Lunch packs will be distributed between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Join us for food, lots of outdoor games and activities for the young at heart!  A non-perishable food item will be generously accepted and will be donated to the Toronto & GTA Food Banks.
  • Mid-Autumn Festival – Sunday September 8
    The Mid-Autumn Festival is held at the Society location at 102 D’Arcy St, Toronto, ON. Come celebrate with us and enjoy a complimentary lunch accompanied with moon cakes and pomelos.

  • Christmas & New Year Banquet – Saturday December 14
    This year, Fui Toong On will be celebrating its 41st Anniversary.  Our banquet will be held at Casa Deluz Banquet Hall at Woodside Square (McCowan & Finch), Scarborough.

  • Annual Bus Tours: To be announced.

The Fui Toong On Society is pleased to announce our line up of social and cultural activities and events planned for 2018 – the year of the Dog.

Canada Day – Sunday, July 1st:  The  Fui Toong On Society will once again join with the other local Chinese Societies and Associations in commemorating the Chinese Railway Workers in Canada.

Annual Picnic – Sunday, July 29th:  The picnic will be held at Milliken Park (McCowan & Steeles, Scarborough). Free admission and lunch will be served to members between 12 – 1pm. Activities including games with prizes will be held for the youth and children. There are also many wonderful prizes to be won in our raffles.

Mid Autumn Festival – Sunday September 23rd, 2018:  Everyone is invited to celebrate Autumn at the Association’s centre located downtown. Please feel free to come by and reconnect with the other members and friends while enjoying a free lunch and mooncakes.

Annual Christmas and New Years Banquet: Saturday, December 15th: Our annual celebration will be held at Casa Deluz Banquet Hall in Scarborough.

Bus Tours: There will be various bus tours and casino trips planned throughout the year. Please check back with the website for updates.

The Fui Toong On Executives team would like to extend an open invitation to all members and their families to join us throughout 2018, and we look forward to your participation in our planned events.

Our Centre is generally open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays of every week. Members and their families are always welcome to stop by. To check if the centre is open, our telephone number is 416-340-7007.

Just a reminder that the Mid Autumn Festival will be celebrated at the Association on Sunday, September 11th. All active Fui Toong On members are invited to renew friendships with our members while enjoying a free lunch, served at 12:00 noon, along with moon cake.

Once again, a special thanks to all our members ,family and , friends who have attended our Annual Christmas dinner .And here wishing all our members,Family and friends a Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all.

The following are the pick up times for the tour:

  • Mississauga:  5:45 – 6:00 am@ 888 Dundas Street
  • Downtown:  6:15 – 6:40 am @ 222 Spadina Avenue
  • Scarborough:  6:45 – 7:00 am @ 4190 Finch Avenue (drop off is at 4440 Finch Avenue)
  • Markham 7:15 – 7:30 am @ First Markham Place (in front of Cineplex)

The busses will be leaving each location promptly, so please arrive and board before the departure time. If you still need to book your ticket please do it quickly and reserve the additional trips if necessary. Please also note that food costs are not included and the hotels do not serve breakfast, so please plan accordingly.

The Fui Toong On Society will be having a 3 day, 2 night bus trip to see the fall colours along the Agawa Canyon in Algonquin Park from September 29th to October 1st, 2012.

The Itinerary is as follows:

Day 1:  Toronto – Parry Sound – Sudbury – Sault Ste. Marie. Departing Toronto in the Morning, arriving at Parry sound for the 30,000 Island Cruise and arriving at Sudbury in the afternoon at the Snowflake Perched Atop of a Granite Rock Crater, near Lake Ramsey, where the Science North Museum is located. The admission for both the cruise and the museum is $52 (optional admission). After this we will then travel along the shore of Lake Huron enroute to Sault Ste Marie, staying overnighting at the Hotel.

Day 2:  Sault Ste Marie – Agawa Canyon – Sault Ste Marie – Sudbury. We will board the scenic train in the morning at Sault Ste Marie and travel as far as 144 miles North to the Agawa Canyon. This optional round trip is $105 (tax included) and must be pre paid with your tour fee. Afterwards we arrive back at the train station in Sault Ste Marie, then travel back to Sudbury to stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 3:  Sudbury – Algonquin Provincial Park – Toronto. Autumn is the best time to see the Algonquin park to view the many changes in colours of the leaves. We will be driving through the tranquil lakes and beautiful shoreline to view the beautiful scenery. Finally, we will arrive in Toronto in late evening to conclude our enchanting adventure.

The Mid-Autumn festival this year will be celebrated on September 23rd, 2012. There will be a lunch at 12pm at the Fui Toon On building downtown and all members are invited to stop by, eat some moon cake, have some food and celebrate with us.

Hello Everyone,

We are pleased to announce the dates of the social and cultural activities and events planned for this year. Here they are:

1. CANADA DAY JULY 1ST – Our Society will once again join the other Chinese Societies and Associations in Toronto to commemorate the Chinese Railway Workers in Canada.

2. ANNUAL PICNIC – This will be on Sunday July 24, 2011, at Milliken Park (McCowan & Steeles, Scarborough). Free admission and lunch will be served between 12 – 1 PM. Activities include: games and prizes for the youth and children and wonderful prices to be won in our lucky draw.

3. MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL – You are invited to celebrate the festival at our Centre on Sunday September 11, 2011. Come and renew friendship, enjoy a free lunch and have some moon cakes.

4. ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR & 33RD ANNIVERSARY of Our Society will be held at the Regency Chinese Restaurant (formerly Ruby’s) at Finch and McCowan on Saturday December 17, 2011. Tickets and more information to come.

5. EXCURSIONS – We are exploring various excursion ideas such as Casino or shopping trips at the present time, they will be posted on the website when available.

6. AWARD OF EXCELLENCE – We are very pleased to announce that we are in the process of implementing and annual Award of Excellence to our young members beginning in 2012.
